TACI, ACD unite for women's tourism rally
TEHRAN - Key talks between the cultural coordination center of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue and the Touring & Automobile Club of Iran have highlighted a push for a women’s tourism rally as an international collaboration.
Mohammad Jafari-Malek, ACD envoy, during his meeting with TACI CEO Mohammad-Hossein Soufi, discussed the potential for cooperation, dialogue, and cultural exchange between the two organizations.
Jafari-Malek highlighted the prominent role of women in Asian culture as one of the important axes of the assembly's activities.
He stated that the successful execution of events at the Touring & Automobile Club of Iran, such as exhibitions and rallies on an international scale, has led to the attention of the ACD towards implementing the cultural and tourism project “Asian women's rally” with a focus on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Cultural revival of the Silk Road” was another important topic of discussion during this meeting, where both parties exchanged views on designing and executing international rallies along the Silk Road route with the participation of member countries of ACD to achieve this goal.
Moreover, Soufi expressed the club's readiness to implement joint programs with ACD, emphasizing special attention to women and organizing tourism rallies to increase social excitement.
He hoped that with the collaboration of these two international organizations, effective steps would be taken to introduce Iran as a safe and beautiful destination to the world.
The ACD is an intergovernmental institution consisting of 35 countries and the most comprehensive Asian organization, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran holding the presidency since September 2023.
Iran’s Yazd was selected as the cultural and tourism capital by the ACD this year, and ambassadors of member countries visited this city in March.
