Petchem output up 5% in H1 yr/yr

TEHRAN- Petrochemical production in Iran rose five percent during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22) compared to the first half of the past year, according to Ali-Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, the production control director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC).

The official said that 27 million tons of petrochemical products have been produced in the country during the first six months of this year, Shana news agency reported on Saturday.

Iran produced 51 million tons of petrochemicals in the past Iranian calendar year, Bossaqzadeh has previously announced, saying that the figure is estimated to reach 56 million tons by the end of this year.
