Iran, Austria Discuss Agriculture Activities

VIENNA Tthe Iranian Ambassador to Austria Ibrahim Rahim-Pour discussed with Austrian Agricultural Minister William Multrer the latest developments in the fields of agriculture, forestry and watershed here Wednesday. Stressing the positive political trends between the two countries, the Iranian ambassador added, given Iran's macro-economic policies, long-term agricultural and forestry programs and also its ecology, the grounds are positive for the expansion of bilateral ties.
He stated that contents of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in the fourth joint Iran-Austria Economic Commission, postulates expansion of scientific cooperation in the fields of agricultural, watershed, production of pressurized irrigation systems, soil protection, forestry, wood industries and pastures, adding, Iran is prepared for implementation of the MoU. Briefing the Iranian ambassador on the capabilities of Austrian companies, Multrer also expressed Austria's readiness for cooperation with Iran in various fields.
