IRGC says Tehrani Moghadam still a nightmare for Israel
TEHRAN – General Majid Mousavi, the second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps’ Air Force, has praised renowned Iranian commander Hassan Tehrani Moghadam for his everlasting legacy.
Tehrani Moqaddam is a general known for his relentless efforts to further develop Iran’s missile program. He began establishing Iran’s missile program amidst the Iran-Iraq war which began on 1980 and lasted for eight years.
"In the days following the martyrdom of Hassan Tehrani Moghadam, a picture of him was published with a thought-provoking sentence underneath. Perhaps at that time, no one paid much attention to this sentence, but now it has become very meaningful. That sentence was: 'Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moghadam is a nightmare for the Zionist regime forever.' We see this reality today in the geography of resistance. In the holy lands that are now guided by Iran's leadership and have taken a leading role in defending the Islamic Revolution," said general Mousavi, during a commemoration ceremony for the 12th martyrdom anniversary of the highly venerated military official.
He emphasized that martyred general is the founder of Iran’s missile program, saying he managed to change the power dynamics of the region through his effortless and genuine work.
Mousavi added that every battle against the Israeli regime has so far been fought thanks to the efforts of Tehrani Moghadam.
"This valuable power and capability that now terrifies the enemy has a strategic intellectual background. The heir to this movement is the resistance front, but what has made us reach this power is a strategic intellectual support that martyr Tehrani Moghadam designed and implemented as a theory,” the IRGC commander added.
Tehrani Moqaddam lost his life during an explosion in November 2011 west of the Iranian capital of Tehran. The blast came during a missile test at a base in Bid Ganeh, which killed 16 other individuals as well.
