TEHRAN - The 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship is culminating in an all-Iranian showdown as Shahdab Yazd and Foolad Sirjan prepare to battle for the continental title on Sunday. This highly anticipated final promises an intense match between two of Iran’s most formidable volleyball clubs.

Both teams have showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, securing their places in the final with convincing victories in the semifinals. Shahdab Yazd swept aside Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Volleyball Club in straight sets, while Foolad Sirjan overcame a tough challenge from Indonesia’s Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi in a thrilling five-set match.

The rivalry between Shahdab Yazd and Foolad Sirjan has intensified in recent years, with both teams vying for domestic and continental supremacy. The final will not only determine the Asian champions but will also serve as a litmus test for the two clubs ahead of the upcoming domestic season.

Foolad Sirjan's captain, Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, has expressed his team's determination to secure the championship. “We've been aiming for this final from the start,” Mousavi said. “We're prepared to give our all and bring home the trophy.”

However, Shahdab Yazd, with home-court advantage and a strong fan base, will be a formidable opponents. Head coach Rahman Mohammadiraad is confident in his team's ability to clinch the title.
