TEHRAN – Iran lost to Bahrain 46-39 in the 2024 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship fifth-place match on Friday.

The 2024 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship takes place from Sept. 3 to 14 in Amman, Jordan under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.

It was the third time in history that the championship was organised by the Jordan Handball Federation. It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2025 IHF Men's U19 Handball World Championship.

Top five teams from the championship directly will qualify for the Youth World Championship to be held in Slovenia.
