PARIS – Iranian Para athlete Aliasghar Javanmardi won a bronze medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Thursday.

He finished third in the men’s shot put – F35 with a throw of 15.84 meters.

Khusniddin Norbekov of Uzbekistan won the gold medal with 16.82 and Argentine        

Hernan Emanuel Urra seized the silver with 16.11.

Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
