Tehran, Moscow review cultural, security cooperation MoUs

TEHRAN- The Iranian and Russian top parliamentarians discussed the review of two agreements aimed at establishing cultural and security centers between Tehran and Moscow.

Iran's top parliamentarian for security and foreign policy, Vahid Jalalzadeh, met with Russian Federation Council member Dmitry Yuryevich Vasilenko to discuss issues of mutual interest. 

During the meeting, Jalalzadeh praised the strong ties between Iran and Russia, calling them "at their peak." He highlighted the importance of political will from both countries' figures to further strengthen their relations.

Jalalzadeh expressed optimism that the current favorable conditions would pave the way for further cooperation between the two parliaments and their respective governments. 

He stressed the need for both sides to exercise caution in their statements and actions to preserve the excellent relationship.

"Accuracy in stances and comments, as well as adherence to the principles of good neighborliness, are crucial," he emphasized.

Jalalzadeh also welcomed the visit of a Russian parliamentary delegation to Iran, calling it a step towards deepening bilateral cooperation.

Responding to Jalalzadeh's remarks, Vasilenko echoed the importance of improving regional and neighborhood relations to facilitate expanded cooperation between Iran and Russia. 

He assured the Iranian parliamentarian that Russia is committed to strengthening its ties with the Islamic Republic.

"Continuous cooperation is at the top of our agenda," Vasilenko asserted.
