Iranian academics write letter to FM over Gaza War
TEHRAN- In a letter to Iran’s Foreign Minister, a group of Basiji professors from the country’s universities have urged the diplomatic apparatus to fulfill their obligations fully to put an end to the brutal bloodshed and the vicious genocide by the Zionist regime in Gaza Strip.
Composing a letter on Monday to Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the professors said that during the last 75 days, more than 75 thousand people of the oppressed people of Gaza were martyred and injured.
Referring to the remarks by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution that the bitter incident dishonored the West especially the U.S. and UK which backed the child-killing the regime wholeheartedly, they said that the hypocritical governments demonstrate their evil nature by sending supplies to the regime and trying to give the cold shoulder to what is happening in the Gaza Strip.
They also noted that despite hypocritical regimes, there are certain states who gained fame and honor by helping the Gazans and speaking out in the international community, adding that “the women and children of Gaza, who continued resistance without water and food under American-made bunker busters, tolerated the loss of their loved ones in order to preserve their dignity.”
West Bank residents who fought and resisted on the two fronts of compromisers and criminals, Palestinian resistance groups, especially Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which made history by launching the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, and Ansarullah of Yemen who became a source of pride for Muslims with their unparalleled courage and zeal are some examples.
Basiji professors also said that “today the world is in a bipolarity between the dignified and the dishonorable, and this is the greatest achievement of the resistance of the oppressed people of Gaza. Therefore, we, a group of professors of the country’s universities, while sincerely thanking and appreciating all the efforts of the resistance front and the free nations of the world, expect that the ministry will not spare any effort and opportunity to redouble efforts to isolate the occupiers of Al-Quds as much as possible till the removal of the cancerous tumor of Zionism from the region.”
