Israel defeated by Palestinians’ resistance: IRGC chief

November 20, 2023 - 21:42

TEHRAN- Major General Hossein Salami, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), stated that the enemy has been defeated by its own mistakes and the resistance of the oppressed Palestinian people.

Speaking at a conference on Monday, Salami emphasized that despite the Zionists' attempts to fake victory by targeting children and bombing the people of Gaza, they are facing daily attacks from Palestinian fighters and are being exposed in the Gaza Strip.

“God willing, the Palestinians will win the battle,” said the IRGC commander, stressing that the world is changing and Islam is spreading.

He added that the Zionists have expanded their operation in the Gaza Strip and exposed themselves to the Muslim fighters, as a result of which “at least 15 tanks and several personnel carriers are destroyed and some of them are killed every day.”

The ongoing military operation by the Palestinian resistance groups against Israel – code-named Operation Al-Aqsa Storm – has undermined the United States’ position in the world, he asserted.

Since the beginning of the war, Israel has killed at least 13,000 Palestinians, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, in its bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

“The Zionists are repeating their mistakes and their collapse and annihilation lie in their mistakes,” he reiterated.

The importance of divine teachings

Salami highlighted the importance of discipline in all aspects of human life, pointing out that conscience, beliefs, and faith are powerful tools to prevent humans from making mistakes.

He also stressed the need for constant improvement and avoidance of negligence, as even a moment of negligence can lead to human downfall.

The commander also addressed the importance of justice and balance when facing enemies, quoting the Almighty God to emphasize the importance of not being wasteful in killing enemies.

He added that Islam does not condone nuclear weapons or mass killing.

The commander called for choosing the best path in planning.

“No one succeeds in darkness,” said General Salami, stressing that the bright path is the path of Islam.

Salami concluded by emphasizing the importance of regularity, systematization, software use, continuous supervision, and detailed monitoring in maintaining the reputation of a group.
