5 new labs, accelerators to boost hi-tech in Iran

TEHRAN – Five new laboratories and accelerators active in hi-tech will be established in the near future, Mehr reported on Friday.
They are going to be active in different fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, big data and cloud computing, internet of things, augmented reality and virtual reality, and blockchain.
They will be established according to an agreement between the vice presidency for science and technology, Shahid Beheshti University and Information Technology Organization.
The agreement focuses on development of digital economy, startup ecosystem and knowledge-based companies.
