TEHRAN – Citing Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, a top lawmaker said on Wednesday that should the Europeans fail to convince the U.S. to stay in the nuclear agreement, Tehran will exit the deal as well.

Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, the spokesman for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said Mr. Araqchi had said that other countries should be ready for a “world without the nuclear accord”, formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), IRNA reported.

Naqavi Hosseini added that the deputy foreign minister had said the main challenge facing the JCPOA is European countries’ interaction with the deal.
