919km of railroad to be inaugurated by late Mar.
TEHRAN- Iranian deputy transport and urban development minister announced that having 516 kilometers of railroad tracks laid, Iran will inaugurate 919 kilometers of railroads by the end of the present Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2018), IRNA reported on Monday.
“Having these 919 kilometers inaugurated, Iranian provinces of Gilan, Hamedan, Kermanshah, East Azarbaijan and West Azarbaijan will be linked to the national railway network, while the rail connection between Iran and Afghanistan is also constructed,” Kheirollah Khademi was quoted as saying.
“Connecting capital cities of Iranian provinces including Ardabil, North Khorasan, Lorestan, Kordestan, and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari to domestic railway will be on government’s agenda for the next year,” he added.
