TEHRAN – Vatican’s Foreign Minister Paul Gallagher will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to hold talks with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and other senior Iranian officials, IRIB news reported.

Mohammad Taher Rabbani, the Iranian Ambassador to the Vatican, said the three-day visit aims at deepening ties between the Islamic Republic and Vatican to achieve common goals.

Iran and Vatican have been closely cooperating in combat against violence and extremism, and promoting peace and justice, Rabbani said.
