4 Afghans killed as earthquake hits southern Iran

TEHRAN — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Khonj village, southern Iran, on Friday morning, leaving four dead and four injured.

The four who died where Afghan nationals who were trapped under the debris of their room but one of them survived and sustained injuries and transferred to the hospital, Fars news agency quoted Rescue and Relief Organization director Morteza Salimi as saying.

According to Seratnews website, three other people also picked up some minor injuries in Chahtala village.
