TEHRAN - The head of the Center for Women and Family Affairs announces the setup of an idea bank with the aim of promoting culture of chastity.

Maryam Mojtahed Zadeh said part of the program of the center is to create a field of study in Islamic clothing design at universities and publish an Islamic fashion magazine.

Mojtahed Zadeh, in an interview with the Mehr News Agency, said, “We are after cultural productions through institutionalizing and promoting chastity and hjjab in the society.”

In this regard it has been decided to support clothing industry in conformity with Islamic principles and create a network of designers and producers of Islamic garments nationally and internationally, she added.

Regarding the idea bank in promoting the culture of Islamic dress code, she said the center supports all clothing designs oriented toward spreading culture of hijab and chastity.

“It also encourages special creative designs and backs up cultural and artistic activities in all provinces,” she explained.

The head of the Center for Women and Family Affairs went on to say that the culture of chastity and hijab must be promoted in three areas of education, research and culture through different approaches including producing films and plays and things of that nature.
