TEHRAN, Dec. 30 (MNA) – Sistan-Baluchestan Province Governor, Habibollah Dahmardeh, denied on Sunday that Iran has closed its borders with Pakistan following the tense situation in the country due to the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
“The situation in the province and in borders with Pakistan is normal,” Dahmardeh told the Mehr News Agency.Currently, we have no plan to close Iran’s border with Pakistan,” the governor said.

Sources said the Iranian government had taken the decision after unrest in Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, Mand, and Taftan areas of Balochistan.
""Yes, Iran has closed its border with Pakistan,"" a Pakistani official said on condition of anonymity.
