“Mahfel”: illuminating hearts and uniting voices through Quranic harmony
TEHRAN- In recent decades, television has evolved from being a tool for a specific class to a service for all people. Over time, with the emergence of various competitions in different structures, ordinary individuals and groups, friends and families, gradually became part of this communal medium. In Iran, in the past two decades, television has embraced the growth of the virtual space and successfully adapted to the fierce competition by remaining a potent force in shaping public opinion. Television, in embracing the public and offering its platform to all individuals, has provided structure and reason to actions that were previously unstructured and norm-defying in the virtual sphere. Television introduced a calculated and controlled talent competition structure to involve people in the media. Over the past two decades, these competitions have evolved alongside other forms of programming, establishing themselves as a distinct genre with specific structures and formats within television content.
