Fajr Music Festival ends with homage to composer Javad Maroufi
TEHRAN- The closing night of the 40th International Fajr Music Festival at Tehran’s Rudaki Hall hosted a special performance dedicated to the renowned composer and pianist, Javad Maroufi. The evening featured a piano performance by Mohammadreza Amirghasemi. Amirghasemi, himself a composer and pianist, presented a selection of lesser-known compositions by the late Master Maroufi, offering a unique experience for Iranian piano enthusiasts.

Vahdat Hall hosts Iranian, Dutch musical collaboration
TEHRAN- On the fifth night of the 40th International Fajr Music Festival, Tehran’s Vahdat Hall hosted a joint concert by Afro Anatolian Tales from the Netherlands and Nushe Band from Iran. Sjahin During and Bram Stadshouders from the Netherlands and Bence Huszar from Hungary are members of the Afro Anatolian Tales. The Iranian musicians in the Nushe Band include Niusha Barimani, Rokhsareh Rostami, Niloofar Ebrahimi, Donya Fathi, Azin Malekzadeh, and Setareh Hatef.

Iranian singer Ali Zand-Vakili performs at Fajr Music Festival

Iranian, Indian musicians unite for Fajr Music Festival performance
TEHRAN – On Thursday evening, the 40th International Fajr Music Festival featured a joint performance by Iranian and Indian musicians at Tehran's Vahdat Hall, showcasing a fusion of Indo-Persian music. The concert, titled "The Encounter," was orchestrated by Iranian musician Vahid Airian. Distinguished Indian artists Amano Manish (slide guitar), Uday Ramdas (tabla), and Pavan Shrikant Naik (vocals and harmonium) shared the stage with Iranian musicians Mojtaba Kalantari Khorrami (daf), Alireza Shahbazi (guitar), and vocalists/tanbur players Nasrin Abdolvand, Sarina Amrollahi, Zahra Gomari, Leila Yekani, Babak Ghiasvand, Alireza Rostami, and Mohammadreza Rostami.
