Iran finish in seventh place in 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN – Iran’s delegation came seventh in the 2022 Asian Games with 13 gold, 21 silver and
20 bronze medals.
Iran had sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
Team Iran had finished in sixth place in the previous edition held in Jakarta, Indonesia, winning 20 gold, 20 silver and 22 bronze medals.
China secured a record-breaking 201 gold medals in the Games, which concluded today, surpassing their previous total of 199 gold achieved at the 2010 Guangzhou Games.
This marks the 11th time that China, who also claimed 111 silver and 71 bronze medals, have topped the overall medal tally at the Asian Games.
Japan finished in second place with 52 gold, 67 silver and 69 bronze, followed by South Korea with a haul of 42-59-89.
