ICCIMA holds conference on economic security

TEHRAN – Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture held the second National Economic Security Conference on Sunday in collaboration with Economic Security Police of Iran, the ICCMA portal reported.

The conference was attended by military and economic officials along with economic operators and representatives of the private sector.

Speaking at the conference, Commander Hossein Rahimi, the head of the Economic Security Police of Iran, referred to the importance of security at the community level and said: "We defend the country's security at all levels by comprehensive planning and foreseeing all challenges.”

He considered security to be the most basic driving force of any country and emphasized: “Carrying out any scientific, social, economic and political activities in a safe environment is the main responsibility of the police.”

Rahimi pointed to economic activities that promote production and entrepreneurship as the complementary link for security and added: “Security is a public production that everyone in the country is responsible for.”
