ICCIMA seeking expansion of international cooperation

TEHRAN - During the World Chambers Federation's first Europe and Asia Regional Summit in Turkey, the head and board members of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) explored ways for boosting international cooperation.

The two-day Summit opened in Istanbul on Tuesday and is mainly focused on environmental problems, the ICCIMA portal reported.

Some 800 representatives from chambers of commerce around the world have attended the Summit which is sponsored by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the World Chambers Federation (WCF).

Samad Hassanzadeh, the ICCIMA head, Hossein Pirmoazzen and Keyvan Kashefi, two board members of Iran Chamber of Commerce, and Mohammad Khazaei, the director of ICC Iran represent the Islamic Republic in the Summit.

On the sidelines of the event, the Iranian delegation held talks with the president and the secretary general of the ICC and a number of their counterparts from the chambers of commerce of other countries.

Different issues, including ways to expand international cooperation, finding new financial mechanisms, and preparing the necessary grounds for upgrading the level of private sector cooperation, are among issues to be discussed in this edition of the event.
