On the 31st anniversary of the unification between East and West Germany, people are really coming together in Berlin calling for peace.

It’s a very unlikely coalition of groups. Peace groups, trade unions, migrant organizations in Germany are calling for an end to the war in Ukraine, as well as Lebanon and Gaza.

They are calling on their own government to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine and Israel.

Germany is the second-largest supplier of arms to Israel. Until recently, Israel was receiving nearly 50 percent of its weapons from Germany. So, people here are really angry and very much concerned about escalation.
