Former IRGC chief says UN Security Council must issue ultimatum to Zionist regime
TEHRAN- The former chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps and current secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council has urged the United Nations Security Council to intervene and halt Netanyahu's aggressive actions in a region.
Mohsen Rezaei expressed on his X social media platform on Tuesday,
“The recent hostilities by the Zionist regime towards Beirut, Damascus, and Yemen indicate that if the UN Security Council fails to act against Netanyahu, Islamic nations must issue him an ultimatum to cease his actions; otherwise, the occupying regime could plunge the West Asian region into a large-scale conflict.”
In the wake of the Zionist regime's assault on Beirut, which resulted in the assassination of Hezbollah Lebanon's secretary-general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, numerous countries in the region have formally requested the United Nations to take deterrent measures against Israeli aggression.
