IRGC denies reports of casualties in Syria
TEHRAN- The head of the Intelligence Protection Organization of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that there have been no recent attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran's positions in Syria.
In an interview with ISNA, Brigadier General Majid Khademi addressed the bombing of Masyaf by the Zionist regime, describing it as a deliberate act of aggression that has previously elicited responses.
Khademi emphasized that the claims made by the Zionists are unfounded. Additionally, he highlighted the ongoing violence perpetrated by the Zionists in Gaza and the West Bank, noting, “Following the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, the Zionist regime is under significant pressure and struggling for survival.”
In this context, he remarked, “The dissemination of false information by the Zionists is not surprising.”
On September 12, some Western media outlets reported that Israel had apprehended a contingent of soldiers, which included two commanders from the IRGC Quds Force, during an earlier operation in Syria’s Masyaf region.
Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen has stated that the Israeli air force's strike on Syria and southern Lebanon on September 10, led to the deaths and injuries of more than thirty civilians.
