Araqchi talks cooperation in call with Serbian FM

TEHRAN- Iranian foreign minister during a phone conversation with his Serbian counterpart, underscored the importance of utilizing all available mechanisms to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the economic sector. 

Abbas Araqchi highlighted the significance of fostering amicable ties with Serbia and promoting stability in the Balkans as key components of the current Iranian government's foreign policy.

Araqchi reaffirmed Iran's commitment to supporting Serbia's territorial integrity and expressed strong opposition to any border or geopolitical alterations in various regions.
 
In response, Marko Djuric congratulated Araqchi and expressed optimism regarding the further development of friendly relations between the two nations. 

Djuric praised the growth of economic collaboration and extended an invitation to Iranian businesses to actively engage in Expo 2027 in Belgrade. 
 
Djuric acknowledged Iran's support for Serbia's territorial integrity as both valuable and commendable.

Iran and Serbia have maintained diplomatic ties for several years, fostering a generally amicable relationship despite their distinct political frameworks. The nations have collaborated across multiple sectors, such as trade, energy, education, and cultural exchange.

 ‘Yemeni government stands with Palestine’: FM

TEHRAN- The Yemeni foreign minister has extended his congratulations to the Iranian foreign minister during a phone conversation, wishing him success in his role as the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

Jamal Amer, Yemen's foreign minister, addressed the rising tensions in the region and the military actions by the U.S. and U.K. against Yemen, reaffirming that Yemen's commitment to supporting the oppressed Palestinian people remains steadfast.

He highlighted the importance of existing agreements between Iran and Yemen, expressing optimism for bolstering cooperation in economic and developmental sectors and underscoring the significance of enhancing bilateral ties and fostering regional collaboration.

Abbas Araqchi reciprocated the sentiments, congratulating Jamal Amer on his new position and emphasizing the critical nature of Iran-Yemen relations and ongoing dialogues aimed at promoting regional security.

The Iranian foreign minister commended the Yemeni government's and people's stance on the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, noting, “While many nations merely issue statements, Yemen has actively defended the rights of the Palestinian people.”

Araqchi also extended an invitation to the Yemeni foreign minister to visit Tehran for further discussions and to exchange perspectives on issues of mutual interest in both bilateral and regional contexts.
