Iran Invest Expo 2024 to provide finance, investment for export projects
TEHRAN- Iran Invest Expo 2024 is aimed at providing financing and investment in export-oriented projects in order to provide infrastructure for export-aimed production, an official with Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) stated.
Speaking in a press conference on Sunday, Mahmoud Bazari mentioned the objectives of holding this exhibition as the introduction of the country's investment opportunities and capacities, as well as the projects in different economic sectors of the country, and creating an environment for multilateral negotiations between domestic and foreign entrepreneurs.
The official also stated that developing business interactions with neighbors and persuading them to invest in Iran can be considered as one of the goals of this exhibition.
He considered the attraction of foreign investment and financing as one of the country’s priorities and added: “There is no doubt that activities in all sectors need financing in order to realize mid and long-term goals.”
Iran Invest Expo 2024 is planned to be held at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds during September 26-October 1.
Addressing the same press conference, Mohammad-Sadeq Qanadzadeh, another TPO official, introduced the attraction of foreign investment as one of the main drivers of economic development of countries and added: “Abundant resources, suitable infrastructure, cheap and expert labor force, and geopolitical position can be considered as the main indicators in making Iran attractive to attract foreign investors.”
Referring to the growth of attracting foreign resources, he emphasized: “In recent years, the attraction of foreign investment has taken an upward trend, but it is not very impressive compared to Iran’s production and export capabilities.”
The exhibition introducing Iran’s investment opportunities will be held with the method of Iran’s expos and with the aim of attracting domestic and foreign investment, the official stated, emphasizing: “This event is our first experience in this sector and we want to emphasize the importance of attracting large-scale investment.”
Referring to Iran’s prominent presence in international agreements, Qanadzadeh stated: “Iran is now a member of BRICS, D8, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, etc., which strengthens our ties and can help attract foreign investment.
