TEHRAN – Tehran’s ambassador to Yerevan has dismissed reports of a military agreement between Iran and Armenia, saying such rumors are spread by those who have a biased view toward Iran.

Mahdi Sobani said such false reports are intended to affect the growing relationship and friendship between Iran and the countries in the region, IRNA reported on Thursday.

 “The Islamic Republic of Iran backs establishment of peace and stability and also economic development in the Caucasus region,” Ambassador Sobhani insisted.
