Selection process of new cabinet members underway: Zarif
TEHRAN - The head of the Transition Council for the fourteenth government disclosed the process of reviewing and suggesting members for the new government.
Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif emphasized the evaluation of the proposed candidates for the fourteenth cabinet and stated, “A call has been issued to invite nominations from national figures, political parties, scientific and professional associations, and the private sector to introduce potential candidates for the fourteenth government. Responses have been received, and we are awaiting more proposals.”
Previously, the Presidential Office had released a list of 450 committee members tasked with reviewing the ministers for the cabinet of the Masoud Pezeshkian. They will select 3 to 5 final candidates for each ministry, who will then be submitted to the Parliament within the stipulated timeframe for their competence to be assessed and chosen during the vote of confidence session.
