Tehran hosts intl. conference on quantum technology
TEHRAN – Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran has held the International Conference on Quantum Technologies and Industrial Applications (ICQT) 2024.
Supported by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Industry, Mining, and Trade, the two-day conference took place on May 28-29 at the university.
Iranian and foreign experts addressed the challenges facing the development of Quantum Technologies. The event provided a unique opportunity for researchers, managers, and practitioners of Quantum Technologies to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and foster collaboration.
The Scientific and Executive Secretary of the ICQT, Mohammad Esmail Zibaei, considered the technology to be one of the new criteria for the development of countries and said: Quantum technologies, especially quantum telecommunications, quantum imaging, quantum measurements, and quantum computers, are of great importance in the world, IRIB reported.
"The conference serves as a platform for professors, researchers, scientific managers of the country, and students to learn about the latest research findings and advancements in the field. It also provides opportunities for networking to create domestic and international cooperation," Zibaei added.
During the conference, more than 30 domestic experts and elites in related fields presented their achievements and findings.
Also, international lecturers from Germany, Switzerland, China, the Netherlands, and Italy were scheduled to introduce and explain the latest quantum studies and achievements in the industry.
On the sidelines of the conference, a specialized exhibition of the quantum technology industry was held to showcase the latest technology and products of knowledge-based and technological companies.
