This year's MIFF features films from more than 50 countries. In total, more than 260 films are in the program, including the BRICS festival, which is about 20% more than in 2023. The main competition features 10 feature-length films from Russia, Serbia, Iran and other countries, TV BRICS reported.

The main prize of the festival is the Golden Saint George. It is awarded to the best film in the competition program and to the winner who has made a contribution to world cinema. The winners in seven categories are awarded the Silver St George.

Opened on April 19, the festival will continue until April 26.
