Thousands of pro-Palestine demonstrators marched to the office of powerful pro-Israel lobby group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), in New York City on Thursday.

Protesters held a banner declaring “AIPAC funds genocide”, while participants chanted “Free Palestine”, “Let Gaza live”, “Stop the genocide” and “Ceasefire now”.

Activist group the Jewish Voice for Peace also said that 18 Jewish activists were arrested for “shutting down” the New York offices of Democratic Party senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

A group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators also marched inside President Biden’s California hotel on Thursday, demanding an immediate ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

“Biden, Biden you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide,” the group, estimated by the White House pool to include up to 30 people, chanted. They also chanted “ceasefire now” as they marched through the upscale Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

“How many kids did you kill today?” they asked.
