Interior Minister calls for high voter turnout as ‘response to terrorism’
TEHRAN- Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi has called high voter turnout the best answer to the terrorists.
In a speech delivered on Saturday in Zanjan Province, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi emphasized the importance of voter turnout in countering terrorism.
"The enemy fears the power of the Iranian people to safeguard the Islamic Revolution," Vahidi stated, adding that election participation is a key manifestation of this strength.
He drew parallels to the struggles in Yemen, Gaza, and Palestine, where the unity of the people has proven to be a potent weapon against adversaries.
"The enemies of the Islamic Republic are terrified by the unity and integrity of the people," Vahidi declared, urging Iranians to heed the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and maintain their cohesion.
Vahidi also acknowledged that the Islamic Republic's ongoing progress and development are a source of apprehension for its adversaries. "Our next blow to the enemies of the Islamic Republic is construction and development," he affirmed, citing the Raisi administration's focus on these endeavors.
Addressing the recent terrorist attack in Kerman, Vahidi labeled it a "false show" orchestrated by opponents of the Islamic Republic.
In a direct message to terrorists, Vahidi challenged them to confront the Iranian military if they truly believe they possess strength. He underscored that when confronted by elite Iranian forces like the martyr Qassem Soleimani, the enemy resorts to targeting innocent civilians.
Vahidi asserted that ISIS, a terrorist organization initially created by the United States, currently serves the interests of the Zionist regime. He raised a thought-provoking question: why is ISIS not active within the Zionist regime's borders?
