TEHRAN - The head of the Medical Equipment Committee of the Iran Chamber of Guilds has said the chamber has put it on the agenda to resolve the challenges that the business operators active in the medical equipment industry are currently facing.

“The challenges of the medical equipment industry are mostly centered around the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, and we intend to solve these problems and challenges in this committee," Mohammad-Rashid Abrnak said.

According to the official, currently, more than 8,000 trade unions are active in the field of medical equipment in the country.

Many of the medical equipment produced in Iran are exported to industrialized and well-known countries across the world, however, a large amount of medical equipment in Iran is imported, and this is due to the vast variety of medical goods and equipment, the official said.
