Hakim urges global assistance for Gaza population
The Leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement, Seyyed Ammar Hakim, has called upon the international community to provide immediate aid to the people of Gaza.
In a message denouncing the recent Israeli regime attacks, Hakim highlighted the severe land and sea blockade imposed by the Zionist occupying forces, which has resulted in immense hardship for the resilient residents of this region.
Hakim condemned the extensive air strikes conducted by the occupying regime, stating that they have reduced Gaza to ruins and violated humanitarian standards and international treaties. The people of Gaza are currently enduring challenging humanitarian conditions.
Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, Hakim urged the Security Council, United Nations, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Arab League, as well as other religious, political, and humanitarian organizations worldwide to take immediate and responsible action.
Hakim appealed to everyone to fulfill their responsibility in saving the people of Gaza and working towards de-escalating tensions with Israel. He also highlighted the imminent risk of water scarcity, lack of medicine, food shortages, and livelihood insecurities in Gaza.
Hakim stressed that without prompt assistance from the global community, this region could face a severe humanitarian disaster. He expressed his hope for patience and resilience among the people of Gaza during these challenging times.
