Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad holds potential for health tourism
TEHRAN – Iran’s southwestern Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad province has considerable potential to become a hub for health tourism, the province’s deputy governor has said.
Several areas of the province have potential advantages to become new destinations for health travelers, Kiamars Hajizadeh explained on Monday.
In the province, there are over 2,100 species of medicinal and edible plants, which are considered one of the most valuable assets that can attract foreign health tourists, the official added.
The southwestern province is known for its nomads and nomadic life. Sightseers may live with a nomadic or rural family for a while or enjoy an independent stay and assist them with day-to-day life. It also opens up an opportunity to feel rustic routines, agriculture, traditions, arts, and culture.
