From being a rescuer to marrying a spinal cord amputation veteran
The memories of women who participated in the holy defense are crucial in a variety of respects.
The presence and support of these women inspired the soldiers to show up at the front lines with increased vigor and resistance. This makes it possible to claim that they share an epic identity with their husbands and brothers, yet they refrained from carrying a weapon.
In her book "Dear Blessing," Samane Nikdel tells the story of Soghra Bastak, a courageous woman who participated as a hospital paramedic in Andimeshk during the imposed war. As a rescue worker, Bastak learned the skills necessary for her job during the war, and as a result, her life's course was altered.
The author claims that Mrs. Bastock was keen to have her memories documented and that she was also briefly interviewed, but that no one had considered doing a fuller interview and going over all the memories. When we met with her, this offer was presented for the first time.
* How many sessions were required to capture her memories?
30 interview sessions, or roughly 70 hours.
* What aspects of Mrs. Bastak's memories appealed to you as the author of the book "Dear Blessing"?
Mrs. Bastak put in a lot of effort in every setting! Along with social activities, her marriage to a spinal cord amputation veteran's narrative led us to believe that she has interesting recollections that might perhaps be written about in a book.
* She held a variety of positions in numerous fields, as you stated; Which of these memories struck you as both surprising and fascinating?
She had no formal training in the field of rescue and was an experimental rescuer. One of her most intriguing memories involved being in an unusual condition in a hospital where she had to extract shrapnel from a soldier’s body in the hospital's hallway due to a high patient load.
* Women who are exceptionally strong in terms of personality and skilled at handling crises can be found in the books that have been written over time about women in the imposed war. What message, in your opinion, may the recounting of these recollections provide to the younger generation?
Nothing can stop a woman's progress. Like Soghra Bastak, I am able to organize, control, and develop in the face of both happy and unhappy circumstances that come my way.
* How was the book's title decided?
This name was selected for two reasons. First, we arrive to the conclusion that this woman was a blessing for the society and the revolution as a result of her contributions after reading the book "Dear Blessing". Another justification stems from a memory that is detailed in the book. I advise the audience to read the book and draw their own conclusions as to why this title was picked.
