Western claims of support for human rights are an ‘absolute lie’
TEHRAN - Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Monday that the U.S. backs various coalitions in the Middle East region to simply help the survival of the Zionist regime.
“Today, unity in the world of Islam is essential to repel attacks of the enemies and foil their plots,” he said during a meeting with top judicial officials.
He noted that the U.S. policies in the region are based on causing division among regional countries.
“Colonialists have said during centuries that Islamic countries cannot be independent and need to rely on Western countries to survive. Today, the stupid president of the U.S. announces this old and worn-out view loudly and calls Saudi Arabia a milking cow and tell them they cannot last for two weeks without the U.S. support,” the top judge stated.
However, he noted that Iran has stood against this way of thinking for the last 40 years which is why the country has been target of sanctions by Western countries, especially the United States.
Elsewhere, he said that the U.S. accuses Iran of supporting terrorism while the country is a victim of terrorism and has helped Syria and Iraq counter the phenomenon.
Amoli Larijani also said the Western countries’ support for the human rights are an “absolute lie”.
