Iran to become 4th producer of stable isotopes

  TEHRAN – Iran will soon become the fourth country in the world having the technology to produce stable isotopes in collaboration with Russia, according to Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

“With the recent documents signed with Russia, Iran becomes the fourth country in the world capable of producing stable isotopes,” the official said, IRNA reported on Friday. 

Iran and the Russian ROSATOM signed on Jan. 20 a roadmap for cooperation in peaceful uses of nuclear energy, including stable isotope production.
