National Iranian Dolls Dara and Sara to Be Marketed Worldwide
s A report by the CIDCYA Public Relations Department on Tuesday said that talks are currently underway between the center and three foreign firms for marketing Dara and Sara in Asia, Europe as well as North and Central America.
The national Iranian dolls known as Dara and Sara with 18 different types of garments representing nine Iranian tribes have been warmly hailed both domestically and overseas.
The CIDCYA Sales and Subscription Manager, Ali Rezai, said that hundreds of e-mails have been received from overseas expressing interest in the dolls.
He also referred to the presentation of some versions of the said dolls clothed as members of Iran's national football team on the occasion of the Asian games in Pusan, South Korea, 2002.
He added that the dolls are currently marketed with traditional clothing of Iranian tribes including Khorassan, Lorestan, Azarbaijan, Kurdestan, Mazandaran, Gilan, Khuzestan, Baluchestan and Abyaneh.
He concluded that the national dolls will soon be distributed in the domestic market by CIDCYA chain stores nationwide.
