TEHRAN -- Two Iranian researchers have said that on a visit to Lebanon to investigate ancient ruins they have seen monuments similar to those from the Sassanid era. Farhad Azizi and Parvin Taei Isfahani had traveled to Lebanon to report on the neglect of religious structures.
They said that in a museum there a pillar with a cow's head, similar to one in Takht-e Jamshid in Shiraz, is on display.
Azizi said that the reconstruction of Iranian mosques has inspired most Lebanese mosques' restoration since the Islamic Revolution.
