Iran a Major Trade Partner of Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Ms. Rafidah Aziz said here Friday that Iran is a new and major trade partner of Malaysia. Heading a trade delegation, she is to embark on a tour of Turkey, Lebanon and Iran shortly. The Malaysian minister said that export of Malaysian products to Iran and investment of Iranian companies in her country will be among topics to be discussed with the Iranian officials during her visit to Tehran. The Islamic Republic has the potentials to market Malaysian products in the Persian Gulf and Central Aisan regions, she noted.

Heads of 20 Malaysian firms will accompany Rafidah in her three-nation tour. (IRNA)
