TEHRAN – Kazakhstan’s Kuanysh VC confirmed their semifinals appearance after a 3-1 (24-26, 25-15, 25-18, 25-12) defeat of Iran’s Saipa Club at the 2024 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship on Thursday at Chartchai Hall.

Kuanysh VC relied on Sana Anarkulova and Yulia Dymar on attack, who posted match-high scores 24 points and 17 points respectively.

Saipa Club had Aytak Salamat and Soudabeh Bagherpour delivering the points.

Saipa had lost to the Philippines’ Monolith Skyrisers and Japan’s NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki and Vietnam’s LPBank Ninh Binh 3-1.

The competition is being held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from Sept. 22 to 29.

The top two teams will qualify for the 2024 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, due to be held in China from Dec. 17 to 22.
