TEHRAN – General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), has emphasized that the patience of nations has reached its limit in light of Israel’s recent missile strikes against occupied territories and Lebanon.

Naqdi made the remarks during a visit to Bandar Abbas on Sunday, coinciding with the Sacred Defense Week which marks the anniversary of the beginning of Iran-Iraq War.

He noted that people around the world have come to understand the importance of resisting oppression and refusing to be subjugated by aggressors, a point that as the Iranian commander remarked, was inspired by Iran's own defensive initiatives during the eight years of Iran-Iraq War.

Naqdi highlighted the growing movement of Resistance, stating, “The message from the Iranian people has reached the occupied territories, Lebanon, and Palestine, galvanizing Jordanian youth to take up arms against their oppressors. Many are even willing to sacrifice their lives as martyrs for the cause.” He underscored that this spirit of resilience extends to students at universities in the United States, showing a unified front against the ongoing injustice.

He further expressed hope that the second fundamental message of the Sacred Defense, which he described as “unity,” would resonate among all freedom-seekers in the Islamic community. “It’s time for us to unite and finish the job together,” he urged, stressing that nations can no longer tolerate the actions of the Israeli regime, which as he noted, “has left no alternative but complete eradication.”

General Naqdi also reflected on the consequences of Israel's military actions, asserting that each attack on Resistance movements ultimately backfires, dismantling the very foundations of the oppressor's power. 

He warned that the ongoing brutal actions of the Zionist regime would ultimately lead to its own destruction, framing the IRGC's response as a decisive shift that transcends traditional notions of retaliation.

Since October 7 of last year, Israeli strikes in the occupied territories have killed 41,431 Palestinians, the Health Ministry in the enclave reported on Sunday.

A ministry statement added that a total of 95,818 people has been injured in Israeli attacks since last October.

Additionally, Israel carried out a terrorist attack on a residential building in a heavily populated area in Beirut during rush hour on Friday, which resulted in the killing of at least 45 individuals.

Friday’s air attack on the densely populated area followed explosions of thousands of communication devices in Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday, which was also blamed on Israel and killed at least 39 people while wounding close to 3,000 others.
