TEHRAN- A mourning ceremony for the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and martyrdom of Imam Hassan (AS), the second Shia Imam, was held at the Islamic Center of Moscow, Russia, on Sunday.

The program was organized by the Imam Hussein (AS) Student Group in Moscow, which consists of several Iranian students among others, Mehr reported.

The 28th day of the month of Safar, the second month in the lunar Hijri calendar, marks the anniversary of the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and is commemorated by Muslims around the world.
