TEHRAN – Newly-appointed sports minister Ahmad Donyamali extended best wishes to all Iranian athletes who will compete in the 2024 Paralympic Games.

The Iranian delegation traveled to Paris Friday morning to compete at the 17th Summer Paralympic Games.

A total of 65 Iranian Para-athletes will participate in 12 sports in the Games.

Shooter Mohammadreza Mirshafiei and runner Hajar Safarzadeh will be carrying the Iran flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, scheduled at Place de la Concorde on Aug. 28.

The 2024 Paralympic Games will be held in Paris, France from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
