TEHRAN- The Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics has characterized the nation's defense sector as a representation of national pride and a crucial element of deterrence.

In a statement released on National Defense Industry Day, the Ministry highlighted its essential function in the production of defense materials and its efforts to counteract the severe sanctions imposed by foreign adversaries.

The statement also underscored that, despite facing unilateral sanctions, the Ministry remains a symbol of national pride, showcasing the principles of self-reliance and self-sufficiency.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics is presented as a model for other sovereign states, reinforcing its significance as a fundamental component of deterrence and a symbol of national strength, as noted in the statement.

In 1989, the Ministry of Defense and the Revolution Guards were combined to form a new entity known as the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
