Israel will face global retribution for its actions: Iran
TEHRAN – The spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, has issued a stern warning to Israel, stating that the continued genocide and terrorist activities in Palestine will soon provoke a powerful and fiery response from justice-seeking nations around the world.
This comes in the wake of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the late head of Hamas's political bureau, in Tehran.
In a statement made on Friday, Kanaani condemned the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza.
"By persisting in its war crimes and genocide in Palestine, flagrantly violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, expanding terrorism across the region and the world, and threatening international peace, stability, and security, the Zionist regime is planting the seeds of fiery anger and hatred in the hearts of people in Palestine, the region, and the world," he said.
Kanaani predicted that it will not be long before Israel faces the full force of global retribution. "The rogue and racist Israeli regime will soon reap the whirlwind of the fury and fire of the world’s justice-seeking nations and governments," he asserted.
The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday, has intensified tensions. Haniyeh, who was in Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, was targeted in an attack that has been widely condemned by many countries. The Iranian government has vowed a decisive and regretful response to Israel's actions.
It has been over nine months since Israel launched a war on Gaza following a surprise retaliatory operation by Palestinian Resistance groups. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 39,550 Gazans, mostly women, children, and adolescents, with another 91,280 Palestinians injured.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has emphasized the dire and chaotic conditions in Gaza, describing the situation as "total lawlessness."
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the Zionist regime’s troops committed 3 heinous crimes and massacres in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.
The ministry emphasized that some of the martyrs and victims are still under the rubble and in the streets and the occupiers are preventing from delivering aid to the injured.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
