TEHRAN – The International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, part of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly, criticized the Biden administration's alleged attempt to bolster Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu amidst ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

In a statement issued on Monday, the conference denounced the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Al-Nuseirat camp and highlighted the U.S. government's role in perpetuating Netanyahu's and the Israeli military's actions.

“The U.S. and Israel have jointly committed this horrendous crime to show that even the opinion of the majority of Americans, especially the elite, does not matter. They are determined to support this child-killing regime at any cost. The Biden administration seeks to create a small victory image for the beleaguered Netanyahu to keep his military cabinet, which is on the verge of collapse, intact and prevent the resignation of its key members,” the statement reads.

The conference's statement emphasized the need for international condemnation of these atrocities and called for solidarity with the Palestinian people. It also highlighted the resilience of Palestinian resistance fighters against oppressive forces and expressed hope for a global expansion of the resistance movement.

On Saturday, Israeli strikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp resulted in the deaths of at least 270 Palestinians and injuries to 700 more. The Israeli military claimed the attack was part of an effort to rescue four Israeli captives.

Following an attack on Thursday that killed approximately 40 people at a United Nations-run school in the Nuseirat camp, where around 6,000 displaced Palestinians were seeking shelter, Israel has only intensified its military campaign.

Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which recently ordered Tel Aviv to cease its operations in Rafah immediately. Over a million Palestinians had taken refuge in Rafah before the city was invaded on May 6.
