Symphony honoring Iranian martyrs to premier globally, celebrating legacy of sacrifice
TEHRAN- A symphony dedicated to honoring the bravery and sacrifices of Iranian martyrs is set to make its international debut, announced the composer of the piece.
In an interview with the Tehran Times, acclaimed Iranian musician Amir-Hossein Samiei shared that "Epic Scene" will be presented to the audience in an international format.
This remarkable composition, led by Samiei and performed by the prominent vocalist Mohammad Motamedi along with various other celebrated artists, was initially brought to life in March. The stirring performance took place at the prestigious Vahdat and Milad Tower venues in Tehran, under the baton of conductor Hossein Sharifi.
Samiei expressed that due to the powerful thematic elements infused into the symphony, there are plans to distribute this impactful project internationally in audio form.
Featuring a poignant musical narrative penned by notable lyricists like Ali Mohammad Mo’adab, Mohammad Mehdi Sayyar, Reza Yazdani, and Milad Erfanpour, the symphony will be vocally rendered by a select group of talented singers including Mohammad Motamedi, Seyyed Mohsen Hosseini, Vahab Ebrahimi, and Hadi Hasan Beigi, he explained.
This project, conceived with meticulous detail, pays homage to the spirit of resilience and sacrifice showcased by Iranian warriors across different historical junctures during the Islamic Revolution of Iran, he said.
It eloquently portrays the struggles and sacrifices faced by revered martyrs throughout the nation's journey, from the genesis of revolutionary movements to the modern era, he added.
The crafted audio rendition of the symphony comprises seven eloquent movements, each dedicated to honoring specific groups of martyrs such as "Martyrs of the Sacred Defense", "Martyrs of Security and Terrorism”, and "Children and Mother Martyrs," Samiei highlighted.
This extensive list underscores the comprehensive approach taken by the composers to highlight the diverse narratives within Iran's rich history of heroism and sacrifice, he concluded.
